The Skid Plate looks nice, but it also looks like its far thinner than it should be. I wouldn't be surprised if its barely a 1/16" thicker than the stock unit.

Yeah, I'm sure its probably the same quality as an OEM skid plate. But I would love to see TRD make a heavy duty plate similar. I like the stamped logo.

Did I miss where they stated its Aluminum? Wouldn't surprise me though, our older TRD Skid Plates were/are pretty thick Aluminum (Tacomas &Tundras tend to sport them the most), my only thing is that I have never thought Aluminum a good skid plate material since it gouges easily and is somewhat "sticky" going over rocks and such?

In some of the release material, there's a video showing them running the 3 vehicles through an off road course in a stadium. While in the vehicle, the TRD production manager states it's 1/4" aluminum.

This TRD PRO model reminds me of Seinfield, a show about nothing. i think it is a pretty lame attempt at a special edition. Even the name TRD PRO sounds lame. It sounds more like an app. I would much rather buy an SR5 model and spend less than half on upgrades and have a much better truck.

PDF is attached that shows all of the TRD "PRO" upgrades. 4Runner didn't even get an exhaust like the Tundra and Taco did.
