Found some un-metered air and oil.

I was seafoaming my 95 3.0 the other day when I could hear the faint noise of whistling. Sure enough there was a clamp missing from the intake. It was post MAF so the air was un-metered. A decent amount of air was getting in too. That would explain my crazy idle. I fixed that and between the seafoam and the air flow correction the thing drives so much better Also! Why is there a hose on the driver side valve cover? I know the other side is the PCV. But there is no valve or anything on the driverside. Just a straight hose. It was covered in oil. So was my intake past that point. I dont understand how this could be any good so I am going to bypass it. Good idea bad idea?? Suggestions?

Sounds like a breather hose to me, I would leave it be for now. I'm sure someone more familiar with the 3.0 can tell you exactly what the deal is with it.
