Any thoughts on mixing the Fox Factory 2.5 CO with the Performance 2.0 rears. Will the valving be too different?
Also what would be a good rear spring to go with these?
Looking at about a 2.5" lift in the front.
Adding aluminum skids and sliders. Probably wont go with after market bumpers until I tear this one off.

I found them on sale for 20% off but they don't carry the 2.5 for the rears, just the 2.0.

This is on a 2011 SR5.

It's no secret. Auto Anything has them on sale through tomorrow. (and free shipping) Just not sure how well the two will work together. They have the 2.0 performance CO but I don't like the way they are set up. The Factory 2.5 look easier to adjust.

It's only $40 off the rears so wouldn't be a huge issue to just buy them somewhere else, but 20% is 20%.

Thanks. Ah you never know, just giving you the option if you didn't want to or weren't supposed to post it.

The DSC 2.5 rears are $1200 a pair so yeah 20% is 20%, which is why I asked :D

I an currently running on DSC 2.5 in the front and saving to do the rear. [subjective mode=ON] Truck drives fine with just me, even over rough terrain (washboards and old mining roads) at moderate speeds (15-40mph). More weight and the stock springs and shocks in the rear get some good sag and don't respond nearly as well. Ass end feels a bit sluggish and LOL mushy[subjective mode=OFF]

AFAIK that is just the reservoir model but I do believe you can upgrade them, if you send them to Fox,(DYI I don't know) to either the CD (compression dampener) or DSC (dual speed compression)

You are correct. I spoke with someone at 4 Wheel Parts and he said they just had a training on the Fox CO's cuz the DSC model is fairly new. He said "2.5. Res" (as in external reservior with no adjustment period) can be upgraded to add the DSC external res, but you most likely need to send it to Fox because some of the internal valving is different.

He also said that the 2.5 rears are more geared towards desert racing and are really meant to be abused, so the 2.0's will be just fine for most applications. I'm running fox 2.5 non-res coilovers up front and the cheapie 2.0 shocks in back with Radflo springs. I have zero complaints with the front, it rides great. I think the Radflo springs give a nice ride when not loaded with gear too. I do feel the 2.0 shocks are valved appropriately, performance has been everything I've come to expect from a lifted truck and then some. At times the rear can be a little slower and less responsive than the front, but I'm not sure how much of that has to do with general driving dynamics and the fact that we're comparing an ifs to a live axle. For instance, I had various mono tubes and eventually OME shocks on my jeep and no matter what I did the rear ways felt like it was playing catch-up. Some of the more experienced posters could probably chime in, but to answer your question, it'd rides great, isn't too stiff (ladies don't complain), and performance is totally acceptable. I drove it last month loaded with gear on washboard for three days and never experienced any detectable fade.. Granted I drive moderately and stop for photos ect, no prerunning here.

I'm currently looking to change out my rear suspension, for loaded-weight performance more than anything, but don't want to give up my nice ride. With a full rig my rear end squats too much so I'm looking at either spring spacers or some different springs. I may or may not keep the shocks, depends on what my new ride height ends up being (3-3.5" in the rear likely). Would I get the same shocks if I got taller springs? Most likely, depends how much $$ I've got to burn.
 
I just ordered Fox 2.5 DSC shocks for the rear, but I'm also carrying a fair amount of weight. Went DSC so that I can adjust them based on having the tent on the truck with all my camping gear in the back.

They don't stock the DSC, you have to call them, or call Toytec (where I got my front CO's), or Truckyeah (these guys have them online for the best listed price), or other preferred Fox dealer.

I haven't chosen any as I just wasn't sure how the factory series and performance series would work together.

THey only carry 3 sets that fit a 5th gen. Not sure what yours is.
The Factory 2.5 CO non/res, the Performance 2.0 front CO non, res and the Performance 2.0 non res for the rear.

I am stuck in that suspension quandary where I just don't know what to get.
 
I'm running the 2.5 Res front (non-DSC) with the 2.0 Rears on Superflex Springs. Also have a Shrockworks bumper up front.

Ride quality is excellent both on and off-road and I think they match together quite well.

I have a 4th gen with a V8 as well, so my experience might be a bit different than yours, but have nothing but good things to say about the Fox's.

I'm considering sending the fronts in to get the 700lb springs, revalved for the additional weight of the bumper and V8 as well as the DSC adjusters.

iirc the factory have a nitride coated shaft or something like that, which the performance series does not have. I'm sure they'll work together just fine.

Edit: from their website the difference they mention between the factory & performance is:

Factory

I've been stuck for a year lol, partially due to money.. but I hope the suspension angel speaks to me in my sleep so i can figure my sheett out

Are your rears the Factory or the Performance?

If it is any help, come rebuild time Fox is just north east of San Diego, you should get a quick turn around I imagine.
