Sounds like September. I'll be in Fairfax mid Sept, and again in early Nov, so we can ship to you and I'll come down, or ship to me and I'll deliver. Let's play it by ear based on when it actually get's state-side.

If I can't get it by Labor Day, I won't need mine until Nov.

I have been looking into a 270 awning but haven't seen one set on a 5thgen. So has anyone asked, how well do these work with the lift gate? The last bar crosses corner to corner looks like it may interfere pretty drastically. Anyone have any insight? Thanks

Yeah, we wont really know till we mount them. Like i said previously, I suppose if you mount it high enough the hatch should clear. Also, the awning doesnt sit flush with the rear of the vehicle, its at about a 30 degree angle so that might help with clearance...don't quote me though.

If it doesn't clear, i was just planning to make use of the rear sliding window to Get things out of the car... that, or just mount it higher on your roof rack.
 
Anyone interested in buying my awning / spot before they get here? I am #12 on the list. I ordered the passenger side awning. I just installed my roof rack ladder and it sticks up pretty high, so I think I wont be able to use the awning, unless I just go through the back window. I had planned on mounting it up high enough to clear the door, but with the ladder, its impractical. I paid Elephant through Paypal $278.10. Depending on Elephant, you can pay him and he can refund me. Or paypal me direct, keeping Elephant informed so he knows not to ship to me.

I will swap with your passenger side if someone wants a driver side. I am trying to get my order swapped from driver to passenger but it might be too late in the game. Let us know!

Nixid is in the process of buying my awning. He wants the passenger side also, so sorry this wont work out for you. There may be others who want to change. Good luck.

I'll ask the manufacturer tonight if they can switch mounting positions for you. I'll try my best.
