UPDATE: Alright, so I opened up the boxes on the bottom of the pallet and they are all good. the boxes were just slightly damaged but everything inside was well protected, bars are straight, fabric is undamaged. I'm going to start PMing you guys for ship to addresses. If you are having multiple units shipped to same address please notify me and I can calculate multiple units for you. If you want to provide your own shipping label please contact me and I can provide an email address for you to send it to.
Guys, I appreciate your patience with this group buy. I'm going to wait until you guys receive your awnings to gauge whether we will order the annexes for them. Please take a look at the fabric, seams, zippers, etc., as the annex will probably be similar build quality.

Sorry brother, this was a prepaid group buy. Unless someone changes their mind this late in the game, they're all spoken for. If we do decide to order the annex for these I'm sure I can get an awning for you simultaneously.

Haha, the ones on the bottom are fine. No damage whatsoever, but I understand your concern.
Anyone interested in picking up their awning can do so from my warehouse. Just PM me so I have everything logged separately from this thread and we can coordinate a day/time.

Thanks for setting this up for everyone! These group buys are a major undertaking.
If you end up ordering the annex, I would love to try to join in on an awning (and annex) if at all possible.

The fabric looks good, so far, on the awnings. I just want everyone that's interested in the annex to get their awning first, check the build quality, then we can gauge interest for the annex. If we do decide to do the annex, I will most probably do another awning order along with it for those who missed out on this group buy.
Guys, I'm going to get quotes today for everyone that has PMed their shipping info to me. I am a little under the weather and I'll do my best to get back to everyone that has already sent their info. First to pick-up and first to get it mounted.
First impressions. Quality seems fairly good for a Chinese product, product of course seems like it's straight off the assembly like, some unplucked threads from the stitching, some metal shavings around. Threads do not appear to have any affect on function or quality.
Awning was very easy to mount. I chose to drill 4 holes in my Thule crossbars and use their provided mount. Feels pretty sturdy.
Awning is not so easily assembled alone. Took me almost an hour alone to figure it our from scratch. Think I could do it in about 20 minutes the second time around. Not quite a "pop out, hang out and be back on the road in minutes" awning.
Only issue I had was I could not get the last corner of the awning on to the pole and gave up due to limited time. It could be due to the uneven heights on which I set the awning up or just need an extra hand or align the fabric better. Will try again when I have more time. This was done on my lunch break.
Although it takes some time to set up, Once everything in place the awning feels and looks sturdy once in place. Fabrics seems to be good quality as does the bag. I really like the look of it too, just dread the setup. See for yourself below.

Nice! That's awesome Denis. We took a shot in the dark with this company and it seems like it was worth it for $270. With regards to the loose threads, metal shavings, etc....yeah, when you buy the $350-$450 awnings from China, the extra money you pay typically goes toward the "refining" of these issues, or quality control. I'm glad the product is decent quality and I hope you have fun down in Baja with it! Thanks for posting the pictures!
