Frack! No joy searching OME or Old Man Emu

I have an '87 4Runner and would like to upgrade the front suspension while maintaining the IFS.

Unfortunately, searching the Classics forum for OME or Old Man Emu yields no results (so please don't berate me for NOT searching).

Where should I buy?
What should I buy?

I'm looking for some front end lift, but better performance versus cranking up the stock torsion bars.

Does OME even make a lift for the IFS 1st gen? I think your options are bj spacers, torsion twist, or a superlift style lift kit.

when i was trying to research ideas for mine (90) i couldn't find any options except what has already been said. with the torsion bars on the top of a arm it limits alot. with that said i did the ball joint spacers and cranked up the torsions (bad idea) i kept ripping my cv boots, so i turned down the bars and have no more problems (so far) i also did the diff drop and sway bar drop. seemed a little sloppy on the road so i installed urethane control arm bushings now it rides like new (a little rough at times) but get in the dirt and it rides like a Cadillac.

you can just go all out and do a long travel kit.... that would give you an amazing ride and it would still be ifs. i really want to do this in the future i love the way it looks and rides.

When I bought ome for my 4th gen I went through ORW.
They definitely make top notch stuff!!
The others are right though, you'd wanna get bj spacers (1.5" , $100, 4crawler.com) and new ball joints (i just spent $285 for oem upper/lowers). Riding on cranked torsion bars isnt fun at all...
