Frame prep for bolt on sliders?

I will be adding bolt on sliders and was curious if there is concern for frame damage due to rust. Is it more likely for rust to form where the slider mounts to the frame? sliders will.be coated in POR15, should the frame be done at the mounting/metal on metal contact points also?

I just gave my frame several coats of black paint (and when I say several, I mean 8 and I let it dry in between coats) where the sliders were going to cover up the frame and a dab of antiseize on each bolt before bolting it up, cleaned up all the other surface rust on the frame while I was under there. make sure to plug the bolts holes up before you paint the frame or you will need to clean the paint out because the bolts wont go.. so I hear:lmao:

I sprayed some marine corrosion preventative spray on the frame rails and sliders before I bolted them on. Don’t know if that was a good idea, but I assume it doesn’t hurt. The spray was a relatively thick, heavy, tacky film for protecting metals in marine environments. Hope it works.!

I applied a healthy coat of automotive grease to the frame/back of the mounting plate for my sliders. The fitment of the plate to the frame wasn't tight enough to prevent water/salt from entering it, so I figured I needed something to keep it out. Seems to have done a pretty good job so far. I will be removing my sliders soon to have them recoated so I guess I'll see how it performed then.

I cleaned the frame really well at the contact surfaces, applied some rust preventative, then used antiseize on all bolts. Nothing else really needs to be done.

I pulled my sliders off after 6 years to blast and repaint about a year ago. There was very little visible damage underneath and no meaningful additional rust as compared to the rest of the frame rails. I just cleaned the frame before I installed.

If anything I would consider using squares of clear-bra to protect the frame rail. But I don't think it's necessary.

Fluid Film, Amsoil HDMP or something like that would be best, plus it can easily be reapplied. POR15 doesn't work very well over clean, painted metal.
