Interesting. As I know the last 2 years are slightly different. As my 01 sport rims fit my 09 Tocuma. While my 97 98 aluminum rims will not clear the tocuma calipers.. I found this out the hard way..They fit, but only just, literally a couple mm or so. On my prior 01 4Runner, they also fit nicely but close under the stock 16" aluminum wheels. If I recall it was super close to the inside of the wheel, so no stick-em wheel weights to balance as they'd hit the caliper if not placed just so.
We're the 97-98 split 3 spoke?Interesting. As I know the last 2 years are slightly different. As my 01 sport rims fit my 09 Tocuma. While my 97 98 aluminum rims will not clear the tocuma calipers.. I found this out the hard way..

The reason I ask is because apparently there is a 15" version of the split 3 spokeI take a photo of them for you so you can see which one do not fit the larger calipers..![]()
I used the 4x4 bearing press that the auto parts stores loan out to install and a bottle jack & propane torch to remove. EasyProcuring press for LCA bushing install this weekend. Hope to knock it out in 1 day...

I have a 5 spd 3rz 4x4 as well. The best way to change the oil filter is to start unscrewing it by hand, then put a bag over it and unscrew it the last little bit. The filter and oil will drop into the bag instead of making a mess on the steering components. Some good progress this weekend, even if it didn’t fix my shimmy at speed it was time to retire the ITREs. This was a simple job with the right tool rented from O’Reilly.
It was also time to get after the oil change and swapping out all the gear oil. Whoever designed the oil filter placement for this engine should be fired… directly under of the exhaust manifold and in front of the downpipe, both of which were stupid hot.

I did get it aligned, even though I have LCA bushes and new cams / bolts set to arrive from Partsouq next week. Thankfully it’s one of those lifetime alignment deals, taking full advantage of that!
