Any idea if these guys do rock sliders for the 5th Gen? These FJ versions looks pretty nice and close to a stock look...nothing gawdy...

Just an FYI - they had a 'typo' on the instruction for the install and puts the install to a grinding halt! Essentially they tell you to put the right on the left and the left on the right. The bolt holes still almost line up perfectly so it leads one to believe they were built wrong.
I e-mailed them about the error after going back and forth with them about the sliders not lining up, never heard back from them so I don't know if they fixed the wording yet.
Their instructions said: “Note the two different Rockrails and the sides they belong on. The mounting leg that is closest to the end of the Rockrail will indicate the front.”
That is incorrect! The mounting leg that is closest to the end will indicate the REAR.
Just keep that in mind and you will be all set. They also tell you to remove some hardware under the 4R, but if you angle the sliders enough you can slip the bracket behind it without having to remove anything, at least on mine it worked.

So I finally got my supersliders in today and look at the receipt saying trail model, when I specifically wrote that I had an SR5. I called RR and they said that they would mail me a return label for me to ship the sliders back to them. I guess I'll be waiting for another few weeks. FML!

So I'll be senidng a set for the 5 gen. trail back to RR since they messed up and sent me the wrong ones. So if anybody with a trail is looking for one without wanting to wait for down time call in a few days and jump on these.

RR sliders on LTD
Has anyone order or installed RR supersliders for a Limited? I am concerned about the XREAS lines that run down the frame rails - does it say anything about the XREAS hard lines in the instructions? Let me know.

Got'em installed! Definitiely correct on the tips above westwind! There is a typo. Otherwise they went on without a hitch!

Great to here it worked out well, sad to hear they have still not fixed their major typo error.
Since the install I have done 2 'mods' to them
1) Had my local fabricator cut 6 pieces of 3/8" aluminum the exact size of the mounting pads to the frame. Essentially 'padding' out the sliders another 3/8" extra, which believe it or not, makes a huge difference. I would have loved to go more than that but where the middle pad mounts to the frame part of the body sticks out and prevents it. :redbrick:
2) Installed 2" wide 3M grip tape along the length (thanks Harper for the tip on where to buy it by the foot!)
With those 2 mods my 5'1", 7 month pregnant, size 5 shoe wife can easily get in and out of the 4R! Previously in the thread I was going to have the fabricator make up a step system but so far there is no need for it with the changes I made.
If I had to do it all over again I would have had them make the 'Super' part push out another couple of inches, but I am happy....for now

Do either of you have issues with your calves rubbing on the grip tape or do you use it as a full step to get out?
