I've got an Iceco jp40 that I picked up for $300 on amazon. When it's not getting tossed around in the 4runner it's in the garage as my beer fridge, it hasn't skipped a beat.

I mean, I think if I was a serious adventure traveler (like 2 month trips offgrid) or live full time out of my vehicle, a Dometic makes sense.
If my fridge dies on me during my weekend camping trip or my 7 day roadtrip... no biggie!
I'm partial to ARB, only because I've had it for 20 years and it's still running. It's obviously an older model, but will cool and freeze just fine. I used it on a 9 month cross country road trip and multiple other camping and road trips. The last few years it's been a beer cooler in the house bc we have a fridge in our camper.

I’ve been researching fridges in earnest the last 6 mos or so. Leaning towards an Iceco VL60. Also going to add a Jackery 500 or similar to keep it powered.

I just ordered that Jackery yesterday after seeing the sale (not to mention having no power due to Ida). Ironman 4x4 is also having a 25% off sale on everything, including fridges. Their fridges were already on sale so I picked up a 50L one and a cover for it for ~$500 after combining the two discounts. I'm not sure how good their fridges are, but I figured it's worth a shot.

My ARB has run continuously since 2015. I just replaced it with a newer model ARB not because it died but because it would be a problem if it did die. I keep the old one as a backup.

The Engel MT17F fridge/freezer fits almost perfectly in the 2nd row footwell behind the driver's seat or front passenger seat. I took frozen crabcakes on a 9-hour drive in 90 degree weather, and they arrived still 100% frozen.

I *still* haven’t bought a fridge yet, but borrowed a friends Iceco for a week+ camp trip to Death Valley and I am 100% a believer!!! It was so much nicer than an ice chest and being able to keep temps consistent was fantastic. No ice cold hands digging thru water or soggy foods etc. just reach in and voila!

We have a Setpower AJ40 I think it is, a 120w bluetti solar panel and a bluetti 800w maybe battery, absolute game changer for camping or long drives. my Bride raves on about how glad she is that I bought it.

Ideally I would have two, a small one for really perishable groceries if I’m going to a few stores in the heat of summer and another one for camping. But I’m no moneybags.

I have an Iceco ALP55 that I absolutely love. Did I really NEED a fridge - nope. Am I happy I have a fridge - absolutely. Would I replace it immediately if it died - absolutely. In addition to camping, it is great for road trips. Stash some drinks, stop and grab some sandwiches before hitting the road and everything stays nice a cool without the hassle of ice. Working out how to power a fridge is a thing but I did some research and ended up going DIY with a battery box and some simple wiring and it has thus far worked out great and way cheaper than a Jackery or similar.

The Phillips seems like a really good deal for being almost 20 quarts larger than some of the other but because of that, of course its also a bit bigger than some of the others and Im not sure I need that much space in the fridge. trying to conserve space for other camping gear/sleeping platform etc.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these?

I went with the Phillips, I have it up in my office right now. Keeping some drinks cool until i need to take it down for camping/trips etc.
Initial thoughts, its very sturdy. Could easily sit on it. cooled down super quick. Right now I have it plugged into the wall, but maybe Ill plug it into my Ecoflow 720 tomorrow or tonight or something and see how long it lasts on the battery.
Love the fact the lid can be opened from both sides. This will make it much easier to access once i build storage/sleeping platform around it.

So the Phillips only costs around $370 after the coupon is applied? That's a great deal. I wish I saw that before I purchased my single zone fridge.

350$ after coupon... per quart one of the best deals I saw. The seller even sent me an AC/DC converter cable to plug the fridge into the wall for free. Its a little bigger than I wanted, but the next size down (39 quart) was only like 20$ or 30$ cheaper and wasn't really saving that much space. If you go down to 26 quart it completely changes from this rugged style 2 zone to a single zone smooth white version. Figured it would be better to have the space for when/if we need it than wish I had gone bigger later. What brand did you end up getting?
