Front and Rear bumper ideas/ pictures

Ok guys, so I am building a rear bumper sometime this spring with a friend of mine, but have few ideas for designs and dimensions. I'm probably gunna do a front bumper as well, which I'd like to have a big lip on it to act as a brushgaurd. Anybody have any ideas? Pictures would be the best thing.:worthless

I plan on making a front very shortly using the TG winch mount and building off it.

I was thinkin just like a Marlin, if not bigger, for the front. For the back I was thinkin more tube style.

how come the front bars have such a big middle section (i've see heaps bigger than the ones posted on here as well)

Is it to wrap your winch rope around to save unrolling it every time?

Does anyone know if I can use a 85 4runner front bar as a base for my 92 4runner, or will they have different mounts?

also i seen some that are super high which helped with roll overs. stops the ground from smashing your front hood down. destroying your radiator

Make sure you plate your front crosmember before putting too much stress on it. A strong bumper wont do any good bolted to weak metal.

Not sure if it is just a regional things, but i have always heard them referred to as a stinger. On my last rig i had one tied into my into my exo-cage which was an eight point made of .120 dom.

Just my .02, I had used my (very hard) a couple of times, once almost knocked me out. If it is just bolted to the front of the truck with out being tied into much I am not sure how much real abuse it would take if it were actually landed on, toward the end of it. Anything is better than nothing, but I would question a few good hits with that angle.

I have always been a fan of the ARB, its more of a matter of the cash on that one though.

I like those tow hitches on there. I didn't even think about those! They'd be really helpful sometimes. Last night we god a big snow storm and some lady slit into a ditch with her little neon and I pulled her out of it, she was having a really bad day considering she had a fender bender that morning It's always good to help random people!
