Hey folks, I'm having a lot of trouble locating a part number and I was hoping to seek some help here on the forums. I have spent a lot of time trundling the parts stores/online parts catalogs and I cannot find it. The part I am looking for - is the push pin - that connects the front plastic cover to the front skid plate. (you can see the part here in Antmans oil change thread - scroll down to the part about removing the cover and skid plate) http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/116417-oil-change-5th-gen-how-lots-pics.html
It seems after my last service it displaced itself. I'm wondering if that's likely due to it being incorrectly reinstalled after the last service? I don't want to blame the dealer unfairly but it seems fairly likely - whoever changed the oil filter - didn't reinsert the pin correctly and it fell out? Or is this a part that is more likely to work itself loose? The 7 other bolts holding the cover on are torqued down fine. For you folks familiar with servicing the vehicle - would you have any thoughts either way on that? It doesn't seem like a big deal, or a dangerous thing, Just sometimes makes a noisy vibration, nonetheless i'm not enthusiastic about parts falling off my rig shortly after a service.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
