Front Plastic cover - missing Push pin.

Hey folks, I'm having a lot of trouble locating a part number and I was hoping to seek some help here on the forums. I have spent a lot of time trundling the parts stores/online parts catalogs and I cannot find it. The part I am looking for - is the push pin - that connects the front plastic cover to the front skid plate. (you can see the part here in Antmans oil change thread - scroll down to the part about removing the cover and skid plate) http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/116417-oil-change-5th-gen-how-lots-pics.html

It seems after my last service it displaced itself. I'm wondering if that's likely due to it being incorrectly reinstalled after the last service? I don't want to blame the dealer unfairly but it seems fairly likely - whoever changed the oil filter - didn't reinsert the pin correctly and it fell out? Or is this a part that is more likely to work itself loose? The 7 other bolts holding the cover on are torqued down fine. For you folks familiar with servicing the vehicle - would you have any thoughts either way on that? It doesn't seem like a big deal, or a dangerous thing, Just sometimes makes a noisy vibration, nonetheless i'm not enthusiastic about parts falling off my rig shortly after a service.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

If it has a grey pin and the core is black the part number is 90467-09227. You can get a ten pack on eBay for $4 + free shipping.

You can google it for a picture.

EDIT: the one you posted the Amazon link "looks" correct.

Thank you Jr. Half the price on Ebay, I'll take that.

No problem. I have bought gobs of clips on eBay ( I break or lose them too often) fender flare both orange and blue, inside fender clips, cowling clips, lol I even bought some of the same you were looking for. These guys (a couple ship straight from) I swear are the same ones that make OE at a twentieth of the price.

Did those push pins end up working for you?

Do you know the size of the opening, or the pins themselves?

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm looking for the same part and the stealership wants $5.99 PER PIN!!

If you’re not being totally sarcastic....Make sure you get the right ones. The push pin clips that do the radiator cowling (sight shield) are different. Ask me how I found that out :)

Those are: Sight shield clips 90467-07211 (you drop that part # in an ebay search a bunch of results will come up, careful though some less scrupulous dealerships like to sell singles for big markups, all the “good” ones ship straight from China.)
