Frontier719's Build Thread

How would you go about installing new seat bottoms? My '96 has a pretty sizeable rip on the drivers side and ive been wanting to replace it for a while

Nice build coming along, looks clean

There's four bolts that hold the seat bottom to the seat frame. You have to remove the seat from the truck, then remove the plastic pieces that cover like the seat belt and recline lever in order to get to the seat bottom bolts.

Primered and wet sanded. Will put on one more coat of primer and wet sand again tomorrow before shooting with white paint.

Scoop

Scooped hood is on. Not a perfect color match--but also not bad for being a rattle can job. Took lots of polishing ha

yep. peeled the old vinyl off and glued it down. The only problem is that it can stain. I havent spilt anything on it, but im usually covered in grease and oil so i'm sure i'll ruin it at some point

Awesome rig man! I would really like to do basically the exact same thing to mine! Do you know if I could run 881's and 890's with stock shocks if I dont offroad? Also do you think I can get 33's on with that lift? Thanks man!

Nevermind my last comment ^_^ Your build has inspired me to get 265/75/16's with the 3" toytec ome coil lift! Hope it turns out nicely! :whoo:

On to greener pastures

Well i did some crazy stuff over the past few months. I moved to Alaska a year ago driving the 4Runner up the Alcan highway. It was an amazing but terrifying drive in January. Two weeks after i moved here some a**wipe sideswiped me. The insurance company totaled it out but i bought it back and fixed it up. Then i sold it to an enthusiast in Fairbanks.

I bought a 2014 F-250 and drove it for a bit but it had so many issues for being that new. I loved the Big truck but it was a piece. Rust and the front diff going out at 20k miles.

Sooooo...I’m back to Toyota. I traded the ford for a new 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road. 6 spd manual with heated seats and a sunroof!

I guess I’ll have to switch to the Tacoma section of the forum :/

Thanks for all of the help over the years!
