FS: 2001 White T4R, $3000?, Pittsburgh, PA

Sadly for sale is my 4Runner. It has 162k miles on it. I have a recent list together of all the maintenance done to it. I literally just changed the oil and full tank of gas too :/. Check engine like is currently on still after I replaced the O2 sensor and A/F sensor (these were the warning codes)

Just recently found out from Monroe muffler and brake that I will need $1000 of maintaince done to my T4R and I do not want to pay that. It was for the real axle seals giving and needing the replace everything on both rear sides, plus the front pads and shoes. I am having a quote written up for me today and Monday.

That being said please let me know if you are interested. I am guessing 4-5k is reasonable offer. I still am unsure on the price, may be higher than this, or lower.

You will at the very least have to post some pics. of ext. int. under. JMO
 
Will have pics up by this week - It is currently in the shop being looked at - I am getting that quote today by Monroe for the repairs needed.

Once I get car back Ill get the pics up for everyone.

I keep forgetting to! Ill stop by Monroe to take some pics. Its been sitting at their parking lot since I brought it in for a inspection on the brakes and found out the rear axle seals went. I also received the quote back from them which was $1500 for front rotors, front pads, rear shoes, two rear brake drums, the new seals and bearings installed.

I know I can do this myself for much cheaper - I just dont have the time!


Let me get some pics to you by tonight - Its a good lookin rig - Just standard wear and tear. The seats have some stains that Im sure could get out, the outside looks good - some small exterior spots of rust on the front bumper that are beginning to show where "chrome" bumper is. Ill show you this as well in pics.
 
A little bit of rust should not worry any decent toyota lover. Update on pics??? buddy is still looking but you might miss out.

Pics!! - Sorry the rig is dirty! And inside is not cleaned out. Also, the seats are folded down for the rug I have in back and the hood was popped in ext pics!

Current known issues:

E-Brake cable isnt working

Exhaust tail pipe and muffler disconnected - I have the replacement Walker Exhaust and gaskets to replace with. Just needs put on.

Bank 1 and Bank 2 sensor issues - This has been on and off check engine light for past few years now - I recently replaced both sensors with Denso A/F and O2 part - Light came back on after doing this.

And the big issue that led me to posting this - Both rear axle seals going and new rear shoes and possibly drums needed, along with the front rotors and pads - Monroe Muffler quoted me $1500 for repairing both axle seals along with rear shoes, drums and front rotors and pads. (I found all of the material for this job on another post came to about $6-700 dollars.

4Runner Value from KBB ~ $4,485

Subtract the known issues from this number, I am unsure of what a fair price would be... Opinions welcome

I'd be interested in it. But for a lot less than what you're asking. If I'm going to subtract out the known issues I also have to subtract out for my time, any unknown issues (you replaced O2 sensors as per the codes but it still has the codes) my time and expense to drive to Pittsburgh and trailer it home, leave a margin in it for me to make something, etc. Not trying to be a d*ck, just realistic. It's tough selling a vehicle with issues as most people who buy them will have the same position I stated above.

See what you can workout with we but any car. If you don't sell it to them let me know and maybe we can put a deal together.

What would be the price your looking to get it at, minus your expenses?
 
I hate to say it, but you might be better off keeping and repairing. You aren't going to get close to your asking price with that type of work needed.
