Reason for sale: A year ago we decided to move to the mountains. We were able to purchase a new 2016 4Runner Trail with 4WD for the mountain roads. We had no plans to sell this 4Runner until the move, and were expecting to keep it for another 10+ years. We bought the new 4Runner based on how awesome and amazing this truck has been to us. That being said, we've had a hard time wanting to sell this one, and have finally come to realize (15 months later) that it is long overdue that we sell it.
About the 4Runner:

Condition: The 4Runner has been diligently cared for. It is very clean inside and out. There are no rips, holes nor even thin spots in the seats. There are a few of the inevitable door ding scratches, and a couple bumps on the plastic trim in the back from moving things. The front bumper and hood have the rock chips that come with 155k miles, proving that the vehicle has never had to be repainted, even then they are not bad at all. All in all, this will be much cleaner than your average 2005 4Runner.
History: We purchased the vehicle CPO in 2005 from Claremont Toyota with 20k miles on it (lease trade in). We are the second owners and have loved this vehicle ever since. My wife has been the primary driver and has always driven it respectively. It has been cared for and meticulously maintained by myself. The vehicle has been a California vehicle it's entire life with the exception of 4 years in Minnesota during for my wife's graduate education.
Accidents: None. The rear tailgate was replaced in 2010 after an incident with a trash can in our driveway. No other repairs have been necessary.
Repairs history: The only repair I have ever had to make is to replace one frozen brake caliper (I don't count the floppy sun visor that I replaced). Outside of doing proper maintenance the vehicle has never needed repairs. We have never been stranded, and would drive it anywhere today without concern.
Maintenance history: Short of reporting the details, all necessary maintenance has been completed. Oil has been changed every 3-5k miles with mobil one synthetic. To my amazement, the oil consumption has still stayed extremely low. At some point the water pump will need to be replaced, but it is not showing any signs that it is necessary. The V6 is a timing chain, therefore no concerns there. Brakes are excellent and have plenty pad left with good rotors. Tires are a slightly aggressive all terrain, the LT Nexen AT Pro and have excellent (~85%) tread left, all matching and recently rotated. Because these are LT tires, the ride is slightly stiffer than standard, a worthy compromise for the added strength.
Other notables: Shocks were replaced with Bilstein shocks which give the 4runner a ~2 inch lift in the front and ~1 inch in the rear. These front shocks improved the stance and can also be adjusted to the factory setting if so desired (there is also 1 setting taller). Ride is much improved. The wheels were replaced with Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail 8 Hole wheels and have a gray appearance that matches excellently with the Galactic Gray. The running boards have been removed (per my preference) but I will include them with sale (I still have all hardware, though finding it might be a bit of a challenge after our move).
Trade considerations: We primarily want to sell and want cash from the sale. However, I will consider trades for a pickup ($1-3K value) plus 6-8k cash (depending on value). Will consider Silverado, Sierra, Tacoma, T100, Tundra, F150, Ranger, etc. Will not consider anything with a dodge symbol, sorry. Needs to be in good running order, though I'm not scared of age/miles. No lowered crap, I need a truck. Please text me your ad or some basic info plus a picture. Let me know what your initial thoughts are.
