SOLD 11/16/16 for $2500.
1995 4Runner SR5, barely over 200,000 miles. Manual transmission. 3vze 3.0 engine. Sunroof and leather seats.
Asking $2,800. Located in Daleville, VA (near Roanoke).
I've owned this vehicle for 3 years and have put 13,000 miles on it in that time. It was purchased purely for use with our dogs and during winter storms and saw very little use. We're only selling it due to purchasing my dream truck, a military surplus Humvee.
In that time, I have serviced many of the typical maintenance items to make sure it was up to speed, including: PCV valve, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, throttle position sensor, 02 sensor, driver side outer tie rod, thermostat, . Sunroof drains cleaned in May of this year. The BF Goodrich KOs should have 80% of their life remaining. Rusted out exhaust was replaced with Flowmaster 50 Delta muffler and catalytic converter and all required piping. The 4Runner is louder than stock, but not obnoxious or annoying. All parts were replaced with top quality parts. We planned on having this truck for several years longer, as evidenced by us paying for registration through 2019.
4WD works great. 4Runner runs smooth at high speeds. It starts right up regardless of temperature.
Known problems:
- Transmission rarely pops out of 1st gear when pulling out from a stop. This might happen 2% of the time. It pops out before any forward progress is made. Putting it back in first it will roll on like normal.
- Passenger side CV boot is torn. I have a new, complete axle for it. Just no time to install it.
- Dogs ripped out the rear carpet. We have used a piece of rubber in the back to cover it. We'll include it if the buyer wants it.
- Previous owners glued a LIMITED label on it as if it were a LIMITED... it is not. It is an SR5.
- Slight oil leak.
- The passenger side has been repainted.
- The plastic window covers aren't fully intact. I purchased a complete set that can come with the 4Runner if desired.
- A/C needs freon.
- Previous owners "upgraded" the sound system. It still sounds decent, but the CD player wasn't mounted properly so it just sits inside the dash.
- The pictures don't show it, but the hood and roof has the typical clear coat and dulling of the paint for a 21 year old 4Runner.
The undercarriage is in good shape. I'll add pictures of it when I can, I forgot to get those pictures today.
