Complete 5 speed Manual Transmission out of 1997 4Runner 4x4 with Transfer Case, Slave Cylinder, Portion of Wiring Harness that goes from ECU to engine and Transmission, ECU, Clutch Pedal, Brake Pedal, Flywheel, Pressure plate, Rear Drive Shaft, you tell me what else you need. $800 plus shipping.

Possibly other items that you might need off the 1997. Doors, switches, Plastic panels? No center console. No radio.

I will try to get a quote tomorrow. I will have to calculate the size of skid and approximate weight. My wife works at a manufacturing company so hopefully she can get a decent rate but I would expect it to not be cheap. If you want to get a quote yourself it can get picked up from a forklift capable manufacturing location in Farmington CT. Obviously you and I want the least expensive way to get it there. I would imagine a full size skid 42"x48" would accommodate the transmission and parts. Probably just strap it to the skid and build some sides. The drive shaft would be the problem kind of long. I guess kind of stand it at an angle. Rough guess is 42"x48"x48' tall. For estimating purposes better think it is bigger. The weight is probably around but less than 400lbs including the skid/crate material.
Would it go to residential or commercial at your end? I know freight charges more for residential and lift gate service.
Think about everything you want and or need. I would want you to be happy so it would be best to not overlook something that will make installation easier for you.
You will need new metal tubing for slave cylinder and brake lines.

I measured the items and think they could fit onto a little smaller skid. However that doesn't seem to affect the price when I plug numbers into Freightqoute.com. The biggest factors will be if the item can be delivered to a commercial location that has a loading dock or forklift.

I will have my wife check thru her work to see if the costs are any less expensive.

The cheapest quotes I have found from pricing on freightquote.com is it is right around,

$300 to ship to a commercial location with loading dock or forklift

$500 to ship to a terminal where you arrange pickup

$600 to ship to residential area utilizing a liftgate.

As mentioned earlier a smaller crate doesn't seem to change the pricing. However a lighter container costs a little bit more for loading dock/forklift delivery and is a little cheaper for terminal and residential liftgate delivery.

I don't know how much this weighs but I am certain everything weighs more than 200lbs without any crate or packaging. I would bet that it will be closer to 400# crated than 200# crated but that is a guess.

Let me know if you are serious. Obviously some time and money would be required to prepare this item for transport. I would not charge anything for crating.

Okay, well in all honesty I only need the transmission, pedals, and the cylinders, everything else I already have like the transfer case, driveshaft and ECU. I'm doing the swap on a v8. And thank you for the quotes! I need to talk to the wife about it. If all else fails how much would you charge for the pedals and cylinders?

Not going to separate the unit at this time. I thought $300 to dock/forklift was pretty darn reasonable.
