I order these lights and really loved them, until I failed the state inspection in the communist-wealth state of Virginia. The low beam light out put is awesome. The low beam is a projector LED, the link is below. The inspector said the bulbs did not have a DOT number, that is required in VA. When I called xtralights they basically threw up there middle finger and said,,,,,,,they are legal in CA. Lesson learned, know the inspection law of your state!!!!!!

dont know how you did not pass with these. i pass with blacked out headlights and high beams in my fogs and my off road lights without covers. must be a VB thing

The bulbs themselves did not have DOT numbers printed on them, and the housings were such that I could not install the factory bulbs in them. I ended up with housings like yours, blacked out. The inspector also hit me for the light covers that TIN 3D prints, I have a 60 degree, 10w cube mounted in them and they also were not DOT approved,,,,these were worth the hassle of swapping out, when I back up my backup lights are as bright as my head lights.
