I am selling my 1999 4Runner with a manual 5-speed transmission. I purchased a little over 2 years ago and did a lot of preventative maintenance at 160k miles when I bought it.
Maintenance included:
-Replaced starter contacts
-Replaced spark plugs and wires
-Cleaned throttle body and MAF
-Replaced rear differential fluid, transmission fluid, crankcase fluid
-Replaced air filters
-Coolant flush
-Replaced all drive belts
-Replaced lower ball joints and inner/outer tie rod ends on the front
-Regular oil/filter changes since I have owned it
-Installed bluetooth stereo
-Replaced alternator (due to whining noise)
Good:
- Rare 5-speed manual transmission shifts smooth
- Good interior condition
- Starts and runs great every day
- Tires have good tread remaining
- 4WD works great
The Bad:
- Rear passenger window does not operate (stuck in the up position)
- Minor rust
- Valve cover gaskets leak minimal oil (does not need any between changes)
- Rack and pinion seeping from boot
-Gas gauge does not work
With a little TLC mentioned above, this will be a great truck for many more miles to go. Reach out for more pictures or any more questions.
