Rear Bilstein 5100 shocks for a (1st Gen Tundra) to fit a 3rd gen 4runner. Used one year, 15K miles. Only removed to go with more lift. Shocks are still very strong. They are not as pretty as a new set, and the stickers are starting to peel. $95 shipped in the Continental U.S., Paypal Only!

You need to go with a longer shock than these especially with 9 wraps. Most guys buy brand new OEM landcruiser shocks from the dealer. I think they are like $40 each.

As noted above, you need LC shocks from the dealer. 5100s are only good for 3" lift.

There's a ton of us using 5100's with 8 wraps (4.5" lift). Whats the down side of that?

If you are running extended 5100s, that's perfectly fine, and probably a better ride than the LC tokicos. Tundra 5100s really shouldn't be used beyond 3.5" lift because they will be at their extended limit, which will provide a harsh ride, limited flex, and be bad for the shock.
