I do not have any at the moment (everything shuts down over there until the end of February). But when I do have them, are you entertaining the though of driving here for the install?

I installed the PRG one on my FJ and feel confident I can do the same on the T4R. I would love the road trip, but will probably have it shipped. Keep us posted, as I think I am ready to order.. Just wish the price was closer to the PRG pricing

I do plan on putting some back in stock when they get back to work. We sold our last one a couple weeks ago. They will not go down on price at all for me...but the shipping is the killer. By time you add freight, import duties, pallet rental, dock fees, brokerage fees and your bond the shipping per snorkel matches the cost.

Awesome! What is your selling price again? I can't remember what they were selling for. I understand them being pricey.
I may get one from you. Not sure yet. Got lots of things all trying to happen at the same time. Skids for one, and then I know my tires don't have much left on them.
Tires are FAR more important. But when you are ready, they are $465.
The only way we can get the price down is if we get another ten people to order and it costs the freight cost per item.

I never ended up installing mine; nothing wrong with it. I just don't think I'd put it to good use. The snorkel is still in the box it came in with it's hardware and template. I'm selling it for $250 + Shipping. For those interested. Cheers!

The angle of the head...is weird. Functionally it's fine, just weird.
Yea, I noticed he had it twisted out a little, should not hurt anything. Better than they guys who run them backwards...

No it's at a slight angle horizon wise, even turning it straighter towards the front wouldn't fix that. Turning it backwards also helps in super dusty or rainy situations, by the way.
I had not noticed that, I just thought it was the head spun out and down a little. Could be how he reworked the glass..
I know there is debate about turning the snorkel head backwards to avoid dust and or water, I don't want to open that can of worms on this forum. People turn snorkel heads backwards to prevent snagging on brush and to reduce wind noise. However at highway speeds the backward head (which causes negative pressure) negates the water shedding design of the head and can in turn let rain into the snorkel body. The guy who performed the test back when this was a big deal concluded there is a reason some snorkel manufactures do not make the head removable. One of his big claims (backed up by live feed scan tool diag) is the negative pressure from the head backwards robbed air (effectively pulling air away from the scoop) causing the engine ECM to lean out the fuel. Leaning fuel can cause overheating. The pulling air away from the scoop may lend to the viability of the dust prevention, however it is pointed out that you do not drive in dust typically at highway speeds and thus the negative pressure is negligible.
Truth be told, I never took part in a single one of the "backwards head" threads because at the end of the day nobody could raise there hand and say ding X with my snorkel head caused Y. I run mine forward year round, pouring rain and in the dust. I don't know if there is truly a benefit to be had from running them backwards, but I do know they were designed to be ran forward, so I play buy the rules so I don't get the hose again. :shrug:

I asked ARB directly and they said it's sort of situationally dependent, and thus the head can be spun for a reason. Personally I spin it around in dusty or rainy environments only for prolonged periods, not if it suddenly starts raining.
I'm still wondering if one of those cyclonic pre-filters are worth it.

I not sure about the pre filters. If you do try one, let us know. My worry with the fiberglass snorkels is the added weight of the pre filter wobbleling around up there might crack the glass. Not sure if it even matters.
