Fuel Injector Replacement

When I have an injector fail being I am not and will never SC. I just take one my spare set of injectors (5VZ-FE) and replace all the seals on that injector rail along with just that one injector only replaced. Mine been working just fine for over a year. :lookout:

I really don't worry about the other injectors unless they fail.. Why would you? I know they can slowly clog in time. This is why you run some fuel injector through your fuel system from time to time.

Being I have only seen 1 fail in an engine that sat 2 or 3 years. With all my others working fine.. Maybe the fuel injector cleaners work? Maybe they don't. Kinda interesting that I haven't had any other quit all these years. I would think if they were horrible, I would have changed many. Just my thoughts on it.

Has anyone have a set of six, half clogged and run heavy duty cleaner for several months with their tankfuls to see if it works? I know if completely clogged no.. But just slightly clogged should clean themselves out. I would think they would but maybe I am wrong. :)

If there's anything that can unclog them, this is the stuff. BG 44K is what most shops use for their "injector cleaning service" where they tap into the fuel line and feed it directly through the injectors. Used to only be available for sale in the UK and Europe but now it's finally on Amazon.

I plan on ordering some and running it as I'm approaching 5 years on my current refurb'd injectors.

Oh nice find Jarod. That should clean the injectors in one tank. I cant see just injecting it directly in. Place it in a full tank and they would be clean or not. I can see 2 cans for just 2 tanks. That's either going to clean or not.

I mostly just use locus injector cleaner. I put a few tanks a year and I done this for years on a lot of vehicles. I keep a handful of those single tank bottles and just occasionally dump some in. Now, in 30 years later I never had to change an injector. My only exception, was an engine that didn't have fuel in it or in use for 3 years and I can understand that failure. (My 1997 limited known as shit box) I am not this lucky.. So I am thinking locus will clean the injectors.

Looks like YouTube has videos of it working with proof... I personally not sure. I just know i have excellent success with injectors working. Maybe its bs. I honestly not sure at this time..:-)

I personally think that using any injector cleaner at regular intervals is better than using nothing! It really can't hurt anything as it all gets burnt off anyway.
