Fuel Injector Wiring

Skulking

When I was replacing my PCV Valve this past weekend, I noticed that the wiring on one of my injectors is exposed (See picture below). From what I can find, the wiring is part of the engine harness and the entire harness must be replaced to fix this. Is trying to repair the wiring an option, or is that just going to cause problems? At this point, I don't actually have a CEL or any pending codes to indicate there is any sort of problem. I've looked, and I can't find a part number for the harness, if anyone has the part number I'd appreciate that. I'd also appreciate it if anyone can provide any information on what years have an interchangeable harness with my 2000 limited so If I need to go hunting in a junkyard I know what my options are. Thanks.

I can't tell from the photo, is the wire exposed or is it the sheathing around the wire you're concerned with?

I had a similar issue on my 2005 V8 Tundra recently; the electrical connector to the injector wouldn't clip in all the way causing a misfire. I ordered a new injector connector from Amazon, came with a short lead of wires so it was already crimped and everything just needed soldered or crimped onto the wire harness, but I found out the old connector's oring broke inside the connector and prevented it from seating so I removed the oring and used the factory connector.

Long story short, check Amazon for injector connectors, seems pretty standardized across Toyota. That is, if your's can't be repaired.

I think I learned the trick from TheDurk if you add 90980 before the part number printed on the connector you will find it in the parts search.

all of the connectors attached.

I know the connector for my 2000 but you will also need the wire parts.
