good choice. that K&N (since when did they manufacture electrical parts?) would not have worked for a few reasons. One reason is that it screws into place where the (OEM) Toyota ones don't. aftermarket ones screw into the plate and bolt in making future replacement easier.
The other reason is it is likely a narrowband sensor. It should have set a CEL rather quickly. The air/fuel ratio sensor, as Toyota has designated, is a wideband sensor. Hence the extra spendiness...
Speaking of which.. it wouldn't work worth a damn in computer tuning either. a narrowband can't determine afr as well as a wideband. those gauges they sell at the parts store that just read (rich/stoich/lean) with the LEDs are about as useful as throwing a tissue into a lake hoping to soak it up.
