Gas and break pedal

Below are pictures of my gas and break pedals. They seem kind of close. When my foot is hovering above the gas, I have only about .5 or 1 inch of space left and right. The space between the gas pedal and the trim on the right of it is only about 1 inch.

Feels oddly close.

Is this normal?? Is this adjustable??

One of the assumed issues with the uncontrollable accelerations was the pedal sticking.

Some people don't want it changed, but if you take your truck into a dealer and have them perform the gas pedal recall; they will trim it down.

Just went out and looked at both my 03 and 08...they look identical to your pics.

Guess youre hoof is just a tad bigger than the Toyota people intended the ride for.

I have trouble sometimes when i have workboots on, as i am a size 13.

Thanks for checking. Its not sticking or anything like I saw in other posts. Just very little room left and right. Especially since the gas sits lower than the brake. I'm just a size 10.5 sneaker wearing Nikes.

I understand when they do the recall fix, they will shorten the bottom but that's not the issue.

Normal. You have smallish feet too so its on you to change your position. I can drive just fine with 13" metatarsals.
