Gas Pedal Interference.

I just test drove a T4R. Is anyone else bothered that the gas pedal has limited access at the top section, because of some panel-like object? Since i have big feet, i found it was annoying that i cannot rest my heel on the floor comfortably and use the pedal. My feet are more horizontal and can be uncomfortable. There is no issue about this on my Highlander. Just wondered if anyone else notice this as well?

I wear size 12. My basketball buddy who plays in my Thursday night game has driven my 4Runner several times and is 6'9" and wears size 18 shoe and has never complained. How big are your feet????

I've got the same issue with my 4th gen but I don't have big feet. I often wear hiking boots (e.g. Merrills) and some are wider than others and cause me to rub on one side or the other.

You're right - there's not alot of room horizontally on either side of the gas pedal. Panel on the right is right there and brake pedal is very close on the left.

Have just gotten used to it.

Made for little Japanese feet I guess.

Wonder if there's a way to adjust the gas and/or brake pedal pads further left?

Same here, size 12 and never had an issue with the 4R's pedal access.:naughty::banana:

Size 14 I don't have any issues with gas pedal room, move the seat back some lol.

Do you put your entire foot on the gas pedal...?? I use the ball of my foot and adjust seat accordingly to be able to depress the pedal all the way, with just that part.

i have noticed that when I wear my size 11 Meindl hunting boots that the toe catches on something when I have my boot on the gas pedal and my heel on the floorboard, I have'nt noticed it while wearing dress or running shoes though.

Yes, my toe is catching on something, so I have to move my heel closer to me so it would stop catching. I wear size 14 US mens

I noticed my work boots snag on the corner of the brake pedal when I'm getting on or off the gas. I've thought of trimming the brake pedal a little bit - still haven't committed tho. I don't drive in my work boots often enough to spend too much effort on it.
