Gas price hurting your wallet?

when I had my 2004 v8 sport, gas was around $4.50 and it was costing me around $60 every 3-4 days.

this time around I based my gas budget on that same amount up to $5 with my 2014. I learned my lesson last time and I couldn't afford it. this time my payments included paying $5 a gallon so I could keep my total monthly cost below $700 a month on average with a cushion up to $800. right now I am paying around $200 to $250 a month on gas. anything less is money I spend on other vices like more fishing trips, weekend jaunts and other toys.

but I am not really hurting since my commute is 4 miles round trip.

Only put on 2600 miles since November. (700 of which were on a drive to Savannah).

CHICAGO SUBURBS GAS IS ABOUT $3.69 TO $4.00/GALLON. ITS OK. The beast has taken care of me plenty of times and havent had any issues BESIDES an annoying rear diff rebuild 2x. but other than that I love it and seeing how rare it is to find a 2007 v6 4runner sports edition under 90k in my area is next to impossible Im keeping this beast till my kids need it.

$5.30/gallon in CDN dollars, so about $4.75 US'ish. Prices are supposed to go down about 7 cents tonight... Anyway, no, it doesn't really weigh on me. If you believe inflation is 3%, prices are only moderately more expensive than they were 10 years ago, at least in my neck of the woods.

positive lol. Here most of the gas stations put a limit of 100$ for a full if you pay at the pump. When my tank is nearing empty, I always have to go pay inside and wait the line and all, because 100$ won't fill up the truck Canada....

If you convert liters to US gallons and CAD to USD - we're paying $4.5/gal here (if I've converted correctly 1.32 CAD for a liter).

I was just messing with him about how he said it's $110 CAD or $6 USD, I figured he was probably missing a digit there, lol.

Unfortunately I've had to experience first hand how bad your gas prices are up north, so I know he wasn't kidding. Never again do I cross the border w/o a full tank of US gas :bounce:

Haha. Just seems that extreme after buying some greenbacks recently. We were par this time last year. Now at .89 but then the bank takes its pound of flesh, leaving us a few cents on the dollar. Where's that keystone deal when we need it?
