These are done in flat black, with the Bullet shroud. The light source is directly above the headlight, so it's washing the black out a bit.

Lol! Thanks man. You can try uploading pictures on imgur and then clicking the "large thumbnail" size. That usually works for me.

Just accepted payment for a set for another user here on the forum. He'll be shipping his OEM lights to me, so it'll be awhile before much progress is made.

After issues with the last 2 sets during shipping, I will no longer be shipping these. At the price I was offering this I simply cannot afford to offer refunds for errors that I have no control over.

On [MENTION=95226]Ruff[/MENTION] 's TYC set the ball/socket joint on the housing broke off. I have no idea how this is even possible. Apparently the shipping process put the headlight in more stress than it sees while on the road. Speaks volumes, to me, about the sesrvice UPS provides. Especially after paying nearly $70 to ship them. Luckily, with a little JB Weld, this issue can be fixed. For his troubles I refunded $50, which we both felt was fair. This set of lights was shipping in the exact manner that Rock Auto sent them to me, with an added pad in each box.

Now [MENTION=111369]s20004runner[/MENTION] 's OEM set. This is completely unacceptable. The lense was shattered, back of the housing broken, and the bulb, which was installed into the projector, was broken. I honestly cannot understand how the housing and bulb could possibly be damaged, but because they were I will never use FedEx again. A claim for this set has been filed with FedEx. This set of lights was shipped with two soft t-shirts and and a 1" piece of high density foam in front of the lense, and the box lined with enough packing paper to allow for the contents not to move when shook.

If the FedEx claim doesn't work out, I have offered to replace (or walk him through the replacement of) the lense and bulb for [MENTION=111369]s20004runner[/MENTION].

Sorry I am late to the discussion.

I would like to add my 2 cents. The work done by A.Wilson013 is very good. I am very happy with my new lights and think they look great.
I still need to adjust them a bit.
First, I can definitely see a heck of a lot better than the OEM headlights.
Even my in-laws are impressed with how much light the HID’s put out.

Second, the issue with the shipping damage was not as big an issue as I first thought. A.Wilson013 recommended I use JB Weld. I applied a couple of coats (and planning a third when I have a couple of hours available, just to be on the safe side) and it has held well. The issue is not his fault, it was the shipper.

Third, I have no clue when it comes to electrical work and was a bit hesitant about doing the hook up myself. After looking on the net a bit and looking at the diagram in the box, it was not a big deal.

I would recommend to anyone considering doing the upgrade to go for it. I can’t believe how much better I can see with these headlights. Also, they give the 4Runner a great look (I have had compliments on them from co-workers). I am thinking of doing the Satoshi Grill mod because it would look even better.

I am sorry to see he is having issues with damage due to shipping because it is not his fault. I hope he can figure out a way to package the lights differently in the future (packing sheets, bubble wrap, etc.) and can continue to do these lights. People like me (short on time due to work and family, not schooled enough on how to make them, etc.) need them.

I would definitely buy from A.Wilson013 again and wholeheartedly recommend him.
He does quality work at a reasonable price. He is also very fair to deal with.

Did anyone here create or receive projector headlights that seem to be overly pointed downward?

I recall someone mentioning this ....

They shouldn't be aimed far far downward. I think what happened is the TYC white/black plastic adjustment shroud came apart. It's cheap material. It happened to me on 2 sets of lights.

Here is how you fix it. If it ever happens to you in the future.

* remove light from the Truck
* look at the white adjustment piece of plastic
* it should look right and not like it's falling apart
* if it came apart you need to remove the entire black adjustment plastic. Don't worry, it takes 5 minds and you don't open the actual glass light
* use needle noise pliers, and 10mm socket, use the pliers on the spring and on the square plastic clip, look closely at the square. Disassemble.
* now look at the white plastic screw driver driven adjustment piece.
* snap it back together
* clean both with alcohol
* very careful add JBWeld so it stays together for all time
* do not glue the 2 spinning parts to the black base piece. You want to glue to white and black spinning parts together but in a way that allows them to still spin.
* let it dry overnight (even with quick JB I still give it 6 hours)

Ive also had a bad experience with UPS/Fed Ex breaking headlights. Its shit*y that you can't ship them anymore but I totally understand the frustration:ybrick:

That does happen but what I wrote about (pictured) is much more a design / manufacturing issue with TYC plastic.
