Gibson Exhaust V6 Question

My buddy has a 05 4runner V8 4X4. He is running a Gibson cat back on it, and he is willing to trade me for my OEM exhaust. My question is, will the exhaust fit on my V6 2wd? Or is the piping different length and sizes?

I believe the piping is different up until the muffler.

So that means it is nearly impossible to fit the V8 exhaust on a V6?

Impossible? Nothing is impossible with enough ingenuity/creativity, time and money.

But it might be difficult to install. Give me half an hour or so... I'll be off lunch then and back at the dealership and I can see how much of the exhaust matches up.

Okay, checked the service information, looks like the Y joint to muffler flange is in the same location regardless of engine type, so if its a bolt on cat back system it should fit fine. My only issue would be that the system was setup for the v8, you may not get the same performance boost as your budy did.

Thank you so much. It is a full bolt on, no welds needed. And its okay...gotta sacrifice something! There are no addition chassis bracing on the 4X4 is there, that would be an interference?
