Gobi vs Bajarack shipping time?

Been ~17 weeks since I ordered.

-Stealth, sunroof, lights.
-NOT a group buy.
-Direct buy

Received notice late July that they expected to ship end of August. Nothing since. Need it for some backwoods fall mud and winter snow adventures!

Hope this helps folk keep tabs where things might be at.
 
After reading through a few threads i think im going to try the guy in san deigo who makes one that looks like the gobi. Do i have to use instagram or is there another way?:offtopic:
 
Just fyi, I cant recommend gobi enough. Distributor made an error when putting in my order to gobi. I called up gobi and they handled it right and very quickly despite it not being their fault. The build quality and design is very solid, I was surprised how quiet the stealth is even at 70+mph

What's the guys name that makes the Gobi lookalike? I've heard of that before but I don't know his IG name
 
Mine is from Joe at OutgearSolutions out of SoCal but he is not building them presently, he is focusing on sliders.

I have not heard about someone in San Diego but if you find someone to fab them up go with it.

Just received my rack yesterday, one day shy of 19weeks. Direct buy, stealth, no sunroof. Installed it myself last night (thanks to my nifty chain hoist I forgot I had until my nifty Gobi Rack came in). Install wasn't bad at all, take your time, read the directions, and its all pretty straight forward.

Wait sucked, but I promise you all, the 'GOBI blues' go away pretty fast.

Absolutely. I can vouch for that. Take your time and everything lines up great. I can also vouch for them too. It takes a long time, but it is SO worth the wait!!!
 
I live about 30 mins north of BajaRack and they said 2-3 months to get the rack, as they're built in Mexico and shipped up. Not sure I want to buy a product made in Mexico, I've been to TJ and seen their "quality" of work.

I agree, the craftsmanship from mexico leaves a lot to be desired. I worked with a ericsson team from down south and it was a mess. If you asked them to repeat a word they would black list you and you couldnt get anything done. Some of the stories about magnaflo and the welds done downsouth keep me away from that catback.

What did you order and through which outlet did you order it?
I'm sitting at 14 weeks and figured i'd have it by now based on the timeline TrailDuty provided me. 20 weeks puts me past Thanksgiving.

2017 has been the year of buying shit now and waiting weeks/months on end to receive it, I'm exhausted with it.
