Pritchnakoff, why were you under your truck? Hopefully nothing bad happened!

Who is that stud standing to the right of Blair's truck?![]()

Strange, you always seemed to respond to my posts before...quite immediately might i add...in fact, we've joked around in the past too...but, nah, that is ancient history, right?
BTW, you can put me on "ignore"...ya know, there is a whole bunch of California 4runner owners on another forum, but i misplaced the web addy...you may want to check them out too...they will particularly enjoy your technical knowledge on various topics.
My philosophy is...why be on the same forum that is run by a "dictator-like" admin who just "insulted" your girl, right?? I would not come back to a forum like that!![]()

Everytime I talk to a 4x4 shop in Hawaii about lifting my Sport...they all say they wont touch it because of the liability of taking the XREAS shock out. Three different places told me this already. Unfortunately, I am not mechanically inclined to perform such a mod.
What now?
BlairB said:I am putting new springs in mine tomorrow morning (get an extra 3/4") and all you need to do is find a shop that has a non wall-mounted compressor and have them compress the shock while it is on the vehicle. Its sort of a b*%ch to do and will cost extra, but most places will do it.
I spend a 2-3 weeks a year in Hawaii and there are SO many lifted trucks it is hard for me to believe there is not some shop that will be willing to do it, just have to keep looking.
Also, check out tire shops, lots of them will do it as well and my finding has been they seem to care less about XREAS, you just have to explain the issue and make sure they do the install with it on the vehicle.

Falls said:Blair , what type of springs are you putting in ?
Whats wrong with using a wall compressor. Most places do. ( atleast here they do)
thetaxguy said:Can't go wrong with the FJ spring. Have them. Love them.
So where's the next trip going to be?
Falls said:Josh/Blair , so he will be running a 3/1 with FJ springs front and rear .... correct per his sig ?
