Got my 8 inch Fog lights today!!!!

It came with 130 W H-3 bulbs. I replaced those with 55 W

What do you think of the quality of these lights? They sure don't cost much but I'm curious what the build quality is like...

The outside of the lights is anodized metal (no plastic in the housing). For $80 it is not bad looking. I am going to install the lights on Saturday. I will post pics soon after that. At the same time I will introduce my runner to the t4r community...

Excellent! Where are you mounting them? I've got an ARB bumper with some holes in front of the grill that are just screaming for some lights but I'm new to this so I'm not sure if that would be a good place for fog lights...

I got a brush guard (no ARB :-() and the lights goes to the brush guard, right in front of the grill. I initially bought 6 inch chrome plated fog lights. If you want that pair (still brand new) let me know (It comes with 2X 55W bulbs, wires, relays, switch etc. ).

Fog lights should be mounted closer to the road.

I'll consider the 6" ones...why'd you choose to go bigger? Also why are you changing the wattage in the 8" lamps?

130 W mean about 10 Amps draw per bulb so thats 20 Amps total. If I turn on the fog lamps on a rainy day (in the night) with other lights, I might kill the alternator (60 A output in the stock alternator? correct me if I am wrong). Also anything above 55W is not street legal.

The brush guard can hold 8 inch lamps so I went for that.
