Got my lift, about to install, am I missing anything?

Hi T4R'ers!

New to the forum and just picked up a 2000 4Runner Limited with 200,000kms (120k miles)from an older couple who had it since new. All service records showing all maintenance up to date including timing belt service. Yay!!! Needless to say, she is bone stock. Now the modding begins :reddance:

Here is what I've order so far. Kinda went balls to the wall but hey, you only live once and you can't take it with you, so f**k it. Being the white collar guy I am I have a shop that does my automotive labour for me. That being the case, I'd like to make sure I've got all my parts covered before I have them start tearing into it.

ICON front long travel coilovers
ICON UCA's
ICON rear 2.5 remote res shocks
OME 891 rear springs (I will upgrade to 4xinnovation bumpers soon)
Toytec rear link kit (upper and lower control arms and panhard bar)
Rear SS brake line (got fronts too just 'cause)
OEM Toyota front lower ball joints
Front, rear and steering rack bushings
Front and rear sway disconnects

Just seeing if I'm missing anything else. Kind of a "while they're in there" type thing as well. Rear spring spacers? Other bushings? Any extensions?

Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated

Dang. That's some nice stuff.

I cannot see anything else, unless the maintenance they did didn't include things like tie rod ends... Then I would consider that.

Another thing that made a HUGE difference for me was replacing the steering rack guide...

Cannot think of anything else though- that's a hell of a setup.

Once it's up on the hoist and dis-assembly begins we'll have a clearer picture as to what needs replacing in terms of clamps, bolts, bushings, etc. Since the LBJ's are known for failure I figured I'd just get them done anyway. It went up on the hoist the day after I bought it and besides some surface rust and oxidation it looked OK. However, I'd hate to have everything dismantled and find out I need something that it's available locally to me.

Another thing to throw out there but maybe not necessary is rear driveshaft u joints?
I've come across a few times I've lifted and the joints don't always like their new position.

I thought that too, but it's included in the Toytec rear link kit that he purchased.

Well the bar, not the drop/lift.

It went up on the hoist the day after I bought it and besides some surface rust and oxidation it looked OK.

Probably CV boots... might as well if you're tearing it all apart now. They're gunna tear anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I have the Toytec front diff drop as well. I had the undercarriage undercoated and it looks OK for now. In hindsight I probably should have done a more comprehensive job with POR15 but I don't have the time or space for that kind of DIY. Hopefully the spray-on stuff will at least prevent any further decay as it wasn't that bad to begin with.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I have the Toytec front diff drop as well.

You'll still tear boots. Plan to remove the clamp and stretch the boot once your lift is on, then reclamp it.

Like ^^^ mentioned, you boots will spit grease within the first couple days. I did the dif drop as well and had to re-boot my axles.

I POR-15'ed my 2000 and I'm about to do my 99. It's a ton of work but damn it looks good when it's done.
