The mod looks great, a temp gauge should have been stock on all models instead of just the Limited.

Oh and a side note to the wife thinking your tinkering is lame, in Montana its actually very nice to know what you are getting into when you drive into the mountains. I had an experience where the valley was 50 degrees different than my destination. Not a fun thing to find out when you step out of the truck : )

Did the dash bezel clip in this picture clip in easily? It's right against the clip, so it looks like it will get in the way. Got any side pics of the area on the thermometer housing that you cut out to get this to fit in here? I'm doing this soon and I'd like to get an idea of where to dremel.

No pic but I only had to dremel a small amount off the clip. Maybe 1/8". Just trim a little then test fit. That's all I did.

These meters will go up to 257 F. Once I get it installed I can post pics

I doubt it's wrong where the comment says it is. Above 99.9°F it can't display to 0.1°F. Then it displays at 1°F up to 257°F. What it says is correct. You only get 100°, not 100.0°. The same thing at -10.0° or below. It only can display three digits, or two digits plus a minus sign.

The heading is 'Resolution', not 'Range'.

I think I would find this mod more attractive if I hadn't owned my 4Runner for 11 years already.

I am worried it would look "off" when I am driving the 4Runner.

Since voltmeters just came up in another thread, here is a slight edit to this thread. I now have a blue voltmeter instead of the thermometer. Same eBay vendor and same housing for the gauge. Works perfect for over a year and a half.
