LED tails, paint the 1/4 panel where the paint is missing, and spend the rest on mods :thumb3:

I say if your going to wheel your rig then dont worry about fixing the 1/4 panel. It would suck for you to fix it and go out on the trail and slide the whole 1/4 panel down the side of a rock. Get some stuff for your 4runner man. The girl just bought you a shopping spree. Have fun!

haha I like the way you guys think greenmonster and haddix! I like to wheel it kind of a lot so that's why I'm kinda leaning toward mods too. But... the body damage does look shitty and affects the resale a lot (not that I want to ever sell it). Keep em coming, it's even right now...

Yeah I feel you on it looking shitty. I was on a trail and drove over a branch. It came up smacked my door and now I have a dent in my rear door. Im used to it now but it killed me at first lol. If you ever think your going to sell then get your rig fixed. If you mod it out and then want to sell it down the road the majority of people looking at it wouldnt care about a little body damage,they will probably add to it. Ultimately its your rig. Do whats going to make you happiest...

I'd say fix it, but on a budget and THEN spend the rest on mods! Nothing like looking good on the rocks and at the mall :reddance:

Big time bummer I'm in the fix it cheap and perform mods group. As I used to have a body shop I say lets hit the trails this weekend I'll take a look at it give you my opinion on the difficulty of repair. May be able to get it ready for paint and swap labor like you help me mount my sliders. again it depends on the amount of damage as I no longer have a compete shop I am limited on what I can do, but thought I would through out another option. By the pics it doesn't look that bad but pics only show the out side skin not the eternal support, seam above the rear side window.... Ext...

Take a check and fix the easy stuff yourself. That's not even remotely close to being totaled. I just had more than $4000 in repairs done to mine including entire lift gate and wiring loom, bumper center piece, mounting brackets and one bumper end piece. Don't worry about the panel damage too much, just make sure you prevent rust getting a grip. Fix the light asap so your legal and hit the trails with some new skids.

Age and Mileage, cost of repair vs value of vehicle. I had a 96 Exploder that got hit at work by a 500 gallon water tank and the repair would have been $4350 (roughly) and the value was $2650. So it was totalled and a few months later I took the money and the Exploder and got my T4R..........I scored IMHO!

Couldn't agree with you more.
I would've kept it to make it a trail beater but the damned thing leaked out of every seal, blend door motor was shot, and all the little ford problems. Atleast it still had a 5.0 in it.
I honestly didnt keep it but maybe a week and sold it for around 4k and I had bought it cheaper then 1k

The 5.0 was the best part of it! Yep my leaks had leaks that had leaks, after it got hit and I got the pay off, I drove it for a few months and couldn't take it anymore.

I got an estimate from one shop today for $2795 for everything. Subtract the bumper (which was only $300 of that because only the one side piece would need to be replaced) and $200 for the tail light (which I alredy scored from John), and just the body only will be about $2300 to fix at this shop.
I'm thinking it's just not worth $2300 to me to fix a dent. I think I'm going to sand and paint the area just to prevent rust and use the $$ on some fun stuff!!! Depending on how much the insurance check is for, I'll probably just find a cheaper shop that will do it for less down the road and for now get some skids, the CBI, and some more goodies (I'm thinking about getting a new bass amp actually).

see if they can do it cheaper and just not make it look as perfect as they normally would...i'm sure you guys can set a target price and repair it to fit the budget
