Is that the housing? Looks like it could just have come off try snapping that piece back in because that's the piece that you pull on when you take your wipers off to replace.

I just took the whole thing off, but make sure to use something to cover the nut, mines a lil rusty.

I have 2 12 Alpine type rs. What the hell! I'm getting all kinds of ubnoxious rattle coming from the back. How can I stop all this? My gas cap broke, my license plate is super loud and I want to fix that, and noe this rear wiper is loose. How can I remedy these prOblems?

I have a hush mat for my license plate. Nothing rattles too bad - I also don't make them go boom all the time.

Same here I'm pushing a couple 12's at 2200 rms and I put aircraft tape under the license plate and I've got no problems. Also I have foam in the gas cap cover so it doesn't rattle

Still trying to find one of these. If any of you guys have removed the wiper, I'll take it off your hands. I just need to know where I could buy it besides the stealership.

Google Search or Forum Search.
I'm sure you'll find many many websites that sell OEM rear wipers and more than a few forum threads suggesting certain websites.
Bottom line is, "Search" is your friend and more often than not your answer is one search away.

I always google things first, but I never get the answers I'm looking for. Plus I have really specific questions that I need answered so I don't make a mistake somewhere.

No its not an age thing, I'm not that old and I am tired of seeing all these cars (better yet hearing them) with their panels rattling and rap music all warped and muffled except for the booming rattling...
I can't understand how people want to even DRIVE like that... damn cars look like they are going to fall apart. I can understand if you're blaring your music at a party or football game parking lot, but why do you need enough decibels to out noise a damned 747!?
Sorry to sound so harsh, but living in the East Bay has made me very jaded to these types of fads...

Well back to the drawing boards. After everything was going good I got another rattle. I hopped into the back and put my hand on the back hatch. The sound stopped significantly though. Now this may be the license plate still rattling but I'm not sure. Is there anything in the back inside that hatch that could be making this sound?
