Greasing the pig..what intervals?

Just did all mine today including my JBA UCAs with Mobil 1 222 Moly grease. The rear driveshaft popped like crazy. Definitely hadn't been done in awhile and definitely not in the almost 20k I've owned it. Some pretty dirty grease came out of both joints.

Took about 15 minutes and normal grease gun and fitting. Easy job. I may have put too much into the slip yokes with 10 pumps, but depressed the zerk and didn't seem to be under any pressure. Hope it's fine.

Yeah I used Valvoline Moly NLGI2. For the slip yoke using an electric milwaukee gave it about 3 seconds (3 squirts or so). For the spiders, went until they popped and pushed out all the old crap. Most of what came out was low viscosity black goop.. very dirty and thin. The Valvoline is light grey in colour.

On to the differentials next... plus still tapping out a M10 hole after an M8 snapped off in the hole. What a mess. Broken three taps so far and 2 cheap T bar tap wrenches. Ended up moving from a M8 1.25 to a M10 1.5. We will see how it goes. Got Grade 10.9 so should be ok.
