Hello TR4.ORG, just purchased a 2012 T4R TE and have been lurking you guys pretty hard for the past couple of weeks. After years of being a Jeep guy I made a compromise, Wife wanted the Limited I wanted a new Rubicon we both agreed on the TE. I have to say I love this thing!!!

5th gen trail edition

I'm interested in how you feel about drving the trail edition around town. Before i bought my 2010 Ltd I drove a used 2010 trail edition with les miles and it had big offroad wheels on it and I could not even hear the radio and it "skipped ' around corners like some of the 4X4 1995-7's did I drove.

"Skipping" could have been rubbing and road noise was probably due to the tires as well. I know what your talking about, I'm coming out of a lifted Jeep Wrangler(BFGKM2s+fiberglass top=tons of road noise). In comparison the TE rides like a Cadillac.
