Hello Ladies , Gents!

Yet another new guy here! Name is Francis. First-off i have to say, this is a very informative site its awesome! I've been lurking the forums for a little bit now but this will be my first ever post/Introduction a little long but bear with me.. haha

Just recently bought a 3rd Gen. a 96 SR5 non-cali *2WD* (unfortunately lol) currently at 200K miles on 5/4/15 fortunately the Previous owner had recently paid for a water pump and timing belt job from the local stealership! :P

the main purpose of me buying it was so i could trailer light vehicles 2500lb to 3500lbs from California / Arizona as i restore Japanese classic cars here in Vegas.

i was in the market for a J80 Cruiser but after 4 Months of looking and checking them out all i got was disappointment from either being beat to hell and asking high $$ or poor maintenance.

I am not new to Toyotas but new to 4runners.

Here is a photo of my 4runner the day i bought it.

white with moon mist interior

with factory 15" 225/75/15

It had some typical problems, blown shock/struts all 4 corners , Rear Spring Sag, dent on rear bumper but nothing i couldn't handle. Tires were done so i had to buy a new set as soon as i bought the runner. Paint on some of the panels were a little bit faded so i decided to buff the entire thing

after a few days of reading/lurking the forums for mods and what ever else i could mess around with.

came across a guy selling a set of 16" factory runner wheels for $30 on C-List so i bought them, got the set home and decided to paint em.

after the usual 4runner undying questions of 265/75 vs 265/70,my buddy had a set of 75's so i said why the heck not. they are Hankook Dynapro 265/75/16's and has about 18k miles on them. I have to say they are so noisy for having not that much miles on them,I had high hopes for them given the reviews online to be honest im actually disappointed.

aside from the noise my speedo is way off now coming from stock 15's. 60mph on speedo actual speed is 71. meh!! maybe go 70 sidewall will lessen the blow lol

anyway heres a pic mounted
*also tinted my front windows and got a set of in-channel visors and replaced all shocks/struts and springs* I have no rubbing issues what so ever. it did raise it a little too

after reading a little bit more and doing more ( I have done new plugs / wires , satoshi grille , 02 sensor replacement and front bug deflector , replaced rear bumper, removed roof rack x bars)

other mods that im currently doing is HID projector retrofit , SR5 flares install,99 cupholders maybe a lift not sure yet

here are my other toyota's

1977 Celica GT Liftback

1978 Hilux/Pickup

1996 LS400

2015 Hilux - in Manila.

hope we all get along! Thanks for reading!

-Francis
