I have a 2006 Titanium Metallic 4Runner and am wanting to get a brush guard or a bull guard but do not know which color or which style. I don't know what would look best on silver; the black, the stainless, or the combination brush guard. I also want to get the tail light covers as well. If anyone has any pictures or advice they would like to share I would greatly appreciate it. Also, is gas mileage or driving affected by adding a guard?? Thanks so much.

those guards really dont protect much, but if ur going for looks, u will have to decide which looks better to u. to me, SS is more of a bling thing, so black may look better & since ur getting the ones for the taillights also, it makes a nice contrast. i say go with the brushguard over the bull bar. u wont notice a mpg loss unless u get a lift or different tires. jaos makes a nice one but its $. check gallery for pics.

If you dont mind me asking, why do you want a brush guard? Brush guards create more damage in any potential "incident" you have. If you want protection, go with Shrockworks or ARB. As long as the brush guard is of decent quality and mounted properly it will serve the function that anyone not intending on serious off road will need. The whole idea of no protection from them has been anything but with my experience. I've had them on three of my last four road trucks and hit a deer with two of them. Zero damage to the truck; some blood. broken fog lights or a tweaked headlight guard has been as bad as I've had.
If you do go with a brush guard or bull bar IMO black would look better on your runner. If you do go with stainless JAOS has some pretty cool looking ones for your year.

Agreed, while a brush guard won't help you if you hit another vehicle, that will probably be the least of your worries... We have one on our Sequoia and Highlander, and I've one on order for the 4 Runner as well. Reason being, my brother hit a deer doing 45 in the Sequoia :lookout::roadkill: and the only damage to the grill was a bent center crossbar and a few of the right headlight guard bars had to be bent back into place. I clipped one in the Highlander around 25 and cracked my bumper, but no damage to what the guard was protecting or the guard itself.
