Picked-up the trays for myself, 4shorerunner, and Joneseyyy this afternoon. Philly's guys were super nice and showed me around their facility a bit.

Three trays ready to go!

I decided to install my tray this afternoon because I had some free time and some space. First, I made sure my tray fit my Group 35 Optima. I don't need any comments about Optima build quality since they moved to Mexico kthx.

Next step was to follow the instructions that came with the tray (same as those posted in this thread and on the ABR website). The instructions are pretty straightforward and easy to follow. The biggest pain in the ass was relocating the AC lines because you have to somehow get a nut to screw on to a bolt in a very small space without being able to see what you're doing. I ended-up taping the nut to a socket and then simply using a socket extension to screw it on. Sounds complicated, but you'll figure it out once you get there. The other pain in the ass was cutting the power steering bracket, but that was my own fault because I didn't have the proper tools with me.

Here's the battery installed without the IBS wires hooked-up.

And finally, it looks like everything is working!

The instructions say it's about a 30 minute install. Realistically it's probably an hour because of the cutting and making certain you're reading the instructions properly. It took me about two full hours without all of the proper tools. Make sure you've got a hacksaw or a cutting wheel available! Other than that, there was no real use for me to do a step-by-step because the ABR instructions are actually pretty good.

Also wired-up a constant hot 12V receptacle this afternoon for my fridge. I opted not to hardwire the fridge itself (Edgestar) so I can move it in and out of my truck easily. I'll likely wire-in a 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter on the driver's side for constant 110 as well. :banana:

Everybody has paid and the last tray will ship on Monday so we can put a fork in this puppy, it's done.

Nothing is wired yet, my IBS Dual Battery system will be here tuesday.
I did a few modifications to the tray to make the yellow top fit ultra snug, but everything was quick and painless.

More pic's/details will be up this week in my mythical build thread.

I received and installed my tray today. Thanks.

My pwr steering resivor is very close to the air intake. Actually touching the metal clip on the air filter cover.

Is anyone elses like this?

Also a ground electrical wire is pretty tight on the other side. I installed a sliced rubber hose as a grommet between the metal.

I'd be interested to see close up shots of the group 34 battery fitted.

forget about the power steering question. I just went an looked at it again. I loosened the fasteners and there was a lot of adjustment room. It is repositioned now and has plenty of space.

What have you guys found is the easiest way to cut that bracket? Should I sneak in to work tomorrow to use a grinder and drill press? Or is the bracket pretty weak were I could feed it to the dog as a chew toy for a little while?

I used a grinder and it was fast and simple.

My dremel would be difficult. That is best on really small stuff or plastic.

Hacksaw and a file should work ok.

Regular drill worked for holes.
