I'm still a definite maybe. :shrug:
I should have my RTT by then so would be a good chance to break it in. Since I don't need any reservation or anything it'll probably be a last minute decision though.
If I do go I can't bring along any weapons, unless my lethal looks count, but I will donate to the ammo fund and i'm no stranger weapon cleaning so can help out with that. :thumb3:

I went on some trails with some locals in heavily modified Jeeps and WOW, they were driving these things in places I would never take my daily driver! BUT if we have use of the "access trails" they are pretty sweet... looks like the posted photos. As for those asking about mountain biking, it is very steep, but ride-able. At the top of North Mountain is a very nice trail as well, the Tuscarora.

Sorry Duc I missed this...
I've looked at just about every manufacturer but keep coming back to the ARB. Cascadia has some nice tents and an attractive price also which is making my decision tough. Lately though I've been contemplating a trailer so that I don't have to pack up the tent each time I want go somewhere, this would make more sense for extended stays.

Trailer=always loaded, ready to go...add grub, clothes and beer and pull out of the driveway.

That's the same long term plan for me. I'm in line at Cascadia mainly because of the customer service. The ARB annex has no floor. Cascadia and Tepui do. I have the ability to purchase almost any RTT at a wholesale cost. Almost all RTT companies are made in china. Exceptions are howling moon, Eezi Awn and Hannibal. I'm sure there are a couple others that I can't remember. But ARB, Cascadia, and Tepui are all Chinese.
If I had half the skills as TitanPat, I'd consider making my own. Yes, Pat, I've been stalking you on Expo.
I figured I'd own a RTT and move it over to the trailer when the time came. There's a 6-8 month order time from Moby1 trailers.

Thank you Sir, that's a real compliment coming from you. When you, or anyone else for that matter, is ready to start a trailer, I'll gladly help if I can.
I still say pound for pound, dollar for dollar, few platforms beat the M116A2..rugged, strong, middle weight, ready for whatever you want to put on it. It tracks behind our trucks perfectly. A nice, clean slate for whatever you can dream up. Some guys are doing some nice lift systems, and also some really nice closed,tear type, designs as well. That way you improve or customize as time or budget allows.
I did sew my own floor in my ARB, and it worked well. One thing to keep into consideration is finished height. My ARB was about 8" higher then it should of been, and it was a pain in the a$$ going in and out the back door.
