That is so awesome. Congrats on that. It helps others and it build your 4runners ego. I have pulled some major trucks out of ditches. Got a 85 lifted blazer a jeep loretto, and a silverado. People
don't get that tho it's small, it has heart.

lol thats awesome man, gosh that is insane you were able to pull him out!! I'm like you i carry a tow strap around too for those kinds of occasions now i know i can do more than just Ford Rangers, Honda Civics, and Suburbans. gotta love the 4runner!

question for yall since were on the topic, do you guys just hook your strap on to the safety hooks on the hitch? thats what i have been using anyway i've been wanting a D ring to put in there but i just been using those little hooks for now. It feels a little sketchy using those especially pullin on the big stuff.

Yea that Ram tried pulling him out too but he had some summer tires. I just threaded it through the 2 little loops on either side of the hitch receiver, but will probably be going out and buying a tow ball to put in my receiver and then loop the end of the tow strap around that

GottaBeTRD-- It is sketchy and not advised. Spend the $30 and get a receiver mount shackle. Much safer. If you do manage to break your strap loose it will have chunks of metal flying in who knows what direction. Thats just my 2cents.

I have a pair of hooks under my truck, so that's what I loop onto. I wrapped it once around the hitch to keep the loop from falling off my hook. I have a shackle with a hook on the other end for cars who don't have a hook.

Those hooks I have on mine aren't stock, BTW...you can get them at any auto parts store...they're like what the wranglers have on the front, just a big ass hook

yeah I thought it's prob not the best idea to use those. Thanks for the heads up! I gotta get one of those receivers now!!
