Any chance you can share a picture? Also, did you have to adjust the LED?
 
Hi, most of the posts about LED headlights are understandably referring to the low beams but what about the high beams ...is that something that can be done despite the fact that they are not projectors? (On a 14 to 16 model)....

You can get 9005 LED headlight kits to install in the high beams. However, the 4Runner uses the 9005 high-beam bulb as both a Daytime Running Light (at reduced/pulsing voltage), and as a high beam bulb (at full power). When you install a 9005 LED kit in this application, the LED bulb will flicker, as the lights can't function properly without stable 12V. As a result, you need to add an additional component which basically modulates the power coming from the OE harness in DRL mode to the LED driver and prevents the lights from flickering -- the LED bulb will be on at full brightness with no flicker.

Hi Steve,
I bought this week 9005 Hid light along with DRL in the below link,do i need any additional components or it will work fine?

Ive got a once and for all set of questions.

John, Think you could just do us all a solid and give us a write up for 2014-2016 4Runner LED upgrades on High/Low/Fogs, and an alternate HID for High/Low/Fogs, and lastly just the Phillips XTreme Vision for the 3?

Secondly and this is an open question for anyone who may know:
In my IS350 i was able to have the dealer turn off my DRL through the computer, can this be done through a dealership as an option? Obviously I had to ask the dealer to do it, but it deleted my worries of flickering anything... So just kind of curious.

Lastly, dont hate on me, trust me I do tons of research on here but obviously people keep asking the same redundant questions on here so I just figured why not nip it in the butt.
 
A lot of good info in this thread and I love how xenon depot is always answering questions but I personally am a visual learner and WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME PICS!!!! May help some of us on the fence about going LED or HID make a decision. Just sayin..

do you guys know how much time it will take to install Low beams ,High beams and Fog led kit bought from Xenon depot in general? local store said it will take around 3-4 hours..

I think it would take no more than 1-hour for all of them. It is simply just unplugging one bulb, and installing another...

I replaced my low-beams in about 15mins, my fogs took maybe 10 min per side (removing fender liner), and the high beams are right next to the low beams, so probably about 15mins for both.

However, with the LED high beams you would need to disable the DRL which may take a littler longer. Otherwise your DRL will be at full high-beam brightness.
