Tint is a primary offense in Virginia. I have been riding with someone who got pulled for tint at least a half dozen times, most of the time the driver is from out of state and their tint was legal in their home state. It doesn't matter in Va. From the people I know that have gotten tint tickets, it has primarily been in Va Beach. I am going to chock it up to you being lucky, you can chock it up to whatever you would like.

Technically speaking, you should have had a class 2 misdemeanor at least once in the 4 years you were speaking about.
I am out on the other end of Chesapeake from you. I am out near Western Branch HS. We must be opposites because I despise the beach for the same reason you hate Chesapeake. The damn traffic.
*While I am contradicting you and arguing the opposing viewpoint, I agree that the tint laws are stupid and they seem to be a revenue generator like a lot of other BS "violations".
One of the things that we get away with that you wouldn't in the western part of the state, is lift tickets. Where I grew up, the troopers would sit on the state line waiting for out of state-ers, with jacked up trucks to come into Va so they could start passing out tickets.
Cheers!
