The park opens at 10, so I was thinking meet at the pilot gas station around 9:30ish and leave there about 9:50 and head there. We can nail that down for sure mid week. If you want to pm me your number, I can text you and let you know.

There's a chance I might make this trip; if I do, I'll most likely be coming from there. If you have any interest in doing a caravan/convoy, let me know.
 
Alright guys,

For all that are coming on Saturday. The park opens at 10AM. I say we meet at the Pilot Travel Center on HWY 326. It's exit 358 on I-75. There are 2 different Pilots pretty much across the road from one another. The one that has the Arby's in it is the one we'll meet at. We'll leave the Pilot around 9:50ish to get to the park when it opens.

How does that sound?
 
I wish I could make this one!

I know a good sized group from ih8mud will be there -- so you guys will likely run into them.

Anyone else have a cb, ham, or 2-way radios?
I have all 3, so I guess we need to figure out what channel of each to be on.

Anyone else have tools and recovery equipment?
I have plenty of tools in the back of the Runner, and I have a 30ft strap and a 10ft one.

I'll also have a cooler with water and misc drinks in it. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

No radio for me, but I carry tools, a jerry can, tow strap, another some other odds and ends. I'll bring along a cooler as well. Going to see if I car borrow my buddy's high-lift and e-tool for the trip as well.
 
Hot Dog I may be back in! My flight leaves Sunday now. Now to figure out what the wife is doing Saturday and steal the truck for a few days. Not much info on the HardRock website, is there some mildly friendly trails for my rig with a small lift and Duratreks? Not really in the mood to bang up the new truck quite yet haha. I thought about dragging the beast 78 Chief up there but thats a heck of a drive in that thing.

Yea...I'm pretty sure last time I was out there, they're were some stock 5th gens there that handled most of the park. Your 5th gen will do fine there. You can bypass anything you think is too much also.

I'd love to see that Chief in action though! Any pics of it?!
 
Im working on a cb, have the radio installed and gettimg an antenna just need to pick up a cable and figure out a mount. Any ideas, im gunna go seach threads for so.e mouting solutions after this post. I also carry recovery gear such as straps, tree svaers, & a come along. I have tools as well as a cooler. Does anyone plan on airing down or is it not necessary out there? I was thinking of picking up a 12v air comp to have as on the rig anyways. Just got a new set of 285 ko2s put on This weekend!!

I might air down since I'm 2wd. But I'll cross that bridge once I get on the trail.
 
I have a tow strap and tools in the back of mine but no CB yet. Guess I should look at getting one soon. In the same boat as SupaSupra, may need to air.
 
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make this one.:dammit:

Those of you up north, look for an Eglin or Boggs & Boulders run soon though!

I still think if we hook our trucks up at the tow hitch with one in reverse and one in drive we could make it without issue.
