Harmonic balancer and wierd timing

So I'm elbow deep in vehicle maintenance and I've got a few concerns. First, I used the wrong puller to try to take my harmonic balancer off (before I read that you just need to wack it with a rubber mallet). The outside part of the pulley shifted forward and now the belts won't line up correctly. So, do I have it pressed back on and reuse it, or get a new one. If I get a new one, do I get an aftermarket one, or OEM (there is about a $100 difference price). Or get a used on off of ebay?

Next is the timing issue. I couldn't get the timing marks to line up correctly. then I noticed a couple of marks on the AC pulley that did line up correctly with the cam marks:

I'm not too sure what to make of it. Since I'm elbow deep already, I plan to go ahead and pull the heads. No sense in having to do this twice.

i checked the distributor and the crank and they all line up correctly, so I guess the h balancer is wonky.

The notch you use to line up with the timing mark should be on the pully closest to the marks, not the ones on the accessory pully.

I know, but it doesn't line up. Right now, the mark on the crank lines up, the two marks on the cams line up and the button on the distributor is pointing at #1 wire (basically where the wire harness attaches to the distributor). BUT the timing mark on the HB is off by about 1/3 counter clockwise and these marks that someone else made do line up with the 0 degree mark. I am not the second owner of this truck. I really don't know how many PO's there are (never did a carfax). Who the heck knows how this happened. There is a rubber/plastic dampener in between the outer and inner portion of the HB. I suspect in some PO's attempt to loosen the HB bolt, they some how moved/slid the outer portion while the inner portion stayed put. Just a guess.

If anyone has a HB laying around, maybe they can take a picture, so I can compare it. I'll be buying another one, so I will definitely compare them.

Here's one of the cams lined up:

As long as the lower timing belt pulley installed correctly forget about that. There is only one way to install it. The distributor has nothing to do with mechanical timing so for get it. The crank pully should have a notch lined up with 0. It only installs one way as well, so I can't see where there is any way to install it other than to have the notch at 0. The right side crank locks in to place, but the left side turns about half before it clicks. Put the belt over the crank, then the right side cam, then the left side cam, then tighten the tensioner. I can see any other way to do it.
