Has Anybody Put 4th Gen Suspension on a 5th

I have a set of freshly rebuilt ICON coilovers from my 4th Gen that I hadn't gotten installed before I sold it. I know people frequently put 5th Gen suspension on a 4th with some mods to the lower mount, but what would I have to do to put these coilovers on a 5th? Is it even possible or does the modification only go one way? Has anybody tried this???

To my understanding, the UCA's, rear shocks and rear springs I have should should all transfer over. I think this is true anyway, thoughts?

Hmm... Not entirely sure? Those shocks have heims in the bottom mounts right? Maybe you could email Icon and see if you could just get new heims with the proper diameter and see if they'll swap in? The 5th gen bolts for the shocks are a bit thicker than the 4th gens if I remember right.

Thanks, I wasn't exactly sure what had changed with the lower mount. That's a good idea and I'll see about the newer heims.

I just called ICON and they said there was no difference in their lower C/O mounts with regard to how they mounted to the 4th and 5th. I reminded him people had to mod 5th gen suspension in order to work on a 4th gen. He said he was sure and that I would have no problems installing these on a 5th gen. He said the only difference I would run into would be the sway bar relocation brackets, those are different on a 5th.

Seems very odd to me since they have different part numbers, but I guess I have to trust the company that designs and builds this stuff. To be safe, I'll be removing the lower strut bolt first and trying it in my coilover before I proceed.
