Has anyone replaced the factory JBL sub?

I see some threads in the 4th gen section but none in the 5th gen. I'm wondering if I could upgrade my JBL sub with something else and keep it in the same factory box fairly easily and cheap?

I did this in my 4th gen. Worked okay and sounded better than factory but not as good as a properly sized enclosure. The only restriction is the mounting depth of the sub. You need to be sure to purchase a slim mount sub. There just isn't a lot of room in there. I think mine was a Fosgate IIRC.

Do you know if the boxes etc are the same for the 4th and 5th gens? What amp did you use and where did you mount it?

I haven't pulled the 5th apart yet but I don't think they're that different. I didn't do an amp in the 4th gen but there was plenty of room under the front passenger seat.
